Postcards to the Front
Handwritten messages of support, mailed to Ukrainian soldiers at the front.
Postcards to the Front is a campaign through which hundreds of people have sent handwritten messages of encouragement to Ukrainian soldiers defending their country. My part in it is that of a visual artist: I edit the layout of the campaign’s newsletters, I designed the Canada Branch website, and I have put on an interactive exhibition around the project — the logistics I gladly leave to others. What draws me is the same conviction that drives Stamp Out War: that a small card, carried by the ordinary mail, can matter.
