  • 01A note from Linda

I have been riding long distances since 2009, when I crossed Canada from St John’s to Victoria over five months.

Since then the bicycle has become how I travel, how I photograph, and how I write.

What follows is everything I kept from the road: the diaries written at the end of long days, the letters sent to friends when I could find a connection, the photographs, and the tracks of the rides themselves.

7countries explored on two wheels
3continents traversed
20,000km cycled around the world

Four long rides. Every one of them leaves from Montréal, and every one of them comes back.
